Domain Name Registration Criteria
There are restrictions on certain domain names as set out by the respective domain registration authorities.
Your application to register a domain with a selected domain suffix will only be accepted if your fit the Registration Criteria as shown below.

- No restrictions - anyone can register

- An Australian registered company
- Trading under a registered business name in any
Australian State or Territory
- An Australian partnership or sole trader
- A foreign company licensed to trade in Australia
- An owner of an Australian Registered Trade Mark
- An applicant for an Australian Registered Trade Mark
- An association incorporated in any Australian State or
Territory
- An Australian commercial statutory body

- A charity operating in Australia, as defined in the
registrant's constitution or other documents of
incorporation
- A non-profit organisation operating in Australia, as defined
in the registrant's constitution or other documents of
incorporation
| .id.au |
- An Australian citizen
- An Australian resident
| .asn.au |
- An association incorporated in any Australian State or
Territory
- A political party registered with the Australian Electoral
Commission
- A trade union or other organisation registered under the
Workplace Relations Act 1996
- A sporting or special interest club operating in Australia
